I jsut got an email with the subject: 'VMS Software Product Update:
9.2-1' with details of upgrade package. But they aren't on the VSI
portal when I logged in. :(

I am pretty sure that they are talking about VMS 9.2-2 UPDATE 1
package (aka VMS922X_UPDATE-V0100.ZIP).

Which is/was available on SP portal.

Thanks to new CLP ...
I've now got the VMDK images, I will do what a poster suggested and
extract and apply the licences to my current VM.

It's a bit disappointing though that I won't be able to get access to
the patches and layered software.

Yeah, it's essentially a toy to play with, like the old student
distribution. Nice enough to learn the basics, but you're not going to
be able to actually do anything interesting with it.

I wonder if the PE layoff fairy is flapping her wings ...
